About
POTASSIUM NITRATE+SODIUM FLUORIDE belongs to the class of ‘oral and dental products’ primarily used to treat dental problems. POTASSIUM NITRATE+SODIUM FLUORIDE effectively treats various dental problems, such as bad breath (also called halitosis), cavities (little holes in your teeth), gum/periodontal disease (infection of gums surrounding teeth), mouth sores, tooth-erosion (loss of tooth structure), and tooth sensitivity (pain/discomfort to your teeth caused by eating icecreams, cool drinks, and sweets).
POTASSIUM NITRATE+SODIUM FLUORIDE consists of two medicines, namely: Potassium nitrate and Sodium fluoride. Potassium nitrate is used to prevent cavities and reduce pain from sensitive teeth. - Eat sugary foods with meals. Your mouth makes more saliva during meals. This helps to reduce the effect of acid production and to rinse pieces of food from the mouth.
- Limit between-meal snacks. If you crave a snack, choose something nutritious. Think about chewing sugarless gum afterward to increase saliva flow and wash out food and acid.
- Drink more water. Fluoridated water can help prevent tooth decay. If you choose bottled water, check the label for the fluoride content.
- Brush your teeth twice a day.
- Floss once a day.
- Avoid carbonated drinks, starchy foods, sticky candies, and sweets.
